When my 8GB USB flash is plugged into one of an available USB port, a message box will be brought up with the following information: 'You need to format the disk in drive I: before you can use it.' When I issue chkdsk /f i: in MS-DOS box, it dispalys: The type of the file system is RAW. CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives. I used testdiskwin.exe to check it. I choose 'Analyse', and press 'Enter' key, it shows the message 'Partition sector doesn't have the endmark 0xAA55' The 'Quick Search' was hilighted at the left bottom of the screen. So, I hit 'Enter' to have testDisk to search. After a while, testDisk found no partition, and showed me 3 options at the bottom of the screen as follows: Keys A: add partition, L: load backup, Enter: to continue Firstly, I press 'Enter' to continue, it displays: 'No partition found or selected for recovery' and highlighted the 'Deeper Search' menu item I press 'Enter' again, to try to find more partition.
After wait for a longer time of period than quick search, it shows the following menu options again: Keys A: add partition, L: load backup, Enter: to continue Secondly, I selected 'L' to load backup, but it said no backup to load. And Finally, there is only one option I can select, that is 'A: add partition'. I think it is a dangerous choice. Thus, I don't want to take a risk of losing my precious data. What can I do next? Would you please provide soem feasible solution to me?
