This Compaq Deskpro Pentium II system is in a 'difficult' place right now. It's not new enough to run most modern software well, yet it's not old enough to qualify as a truly 'vintage' personal computer. Systems like this are still pretty common and cheap if you look around. I'll admit I bought this computer without having a thing in mind to do with it. I might have left it there, if I hadn't thought it might be the rare Deskpro EX Pentium 4 model.
