It enables you build teams using any players from all the leagues to play offline and online to win coins to buy better players or packs which contain random players. Opponents can be 1 player or have a guest too. Does your Ultimate Team continue in new version No anything you did in FIFA 17 on Ultimate team stays as FIFA 17. So you can load FIFA 16 and still play FIFA 16 Ultimate team or even older versions.

When you start FIFA 18 Ultimate team it is new and starts from scratch. Coins from zero and only the random players you get as a new player (bronze, silver and couple of gold). You cannot transfer anything between versions. Start of Ultimate Team Everyone starts off with a very average team. Returning players from FIFA 17, FIFA 16 etc will get free packs at the start of FIFA 18. There is a web app which starts a couple of weeks before the console release. On there you can see what your starter team is and open any of the free packs.

You can sell anything you receive in the packs but the original players you are given you cannot sell until the game is released. You can also buy players on the webapp to sell and make coins or to put in your team.

If you login to the webapp daily before the game is released you receive daily gifts which are just small packs or coins. When you use the webapp before the game comes out on the consoles it continues when the game is released. If you ordered a version of the game where you get packs these are separate and will be available in the store when you start FIFA 18 UT from the disc/digital download on your console. Although the game only gives you 1 or 2 of the packs per week available to open in the store. You do NOT get all packs to open as soon as you start the game. Also you don’t actually have to open a pack because it is there.

Maybe let them build up and open them later in the year when lots better in forms or maybe team of the year players are released. Ultimate Team players All the players in the FIFA Ultimate team game are split into three categories. There are Bronze players rated 0-64, Silver players rated 65-74 and Gold players rated 75 to 99.

If you have 2 players from the same league and country you will see a green link between them. This indicates a strong link. If a link is yellow it is weaker and if it red it is low.

To have strong links as above players need to be from the same country or league or club. To make chemistry 10 play more games in the same team. Player contracts and fitness The players have contracts so they can play games. Default is 7 but you can add contracts which you can buy in the trade area. Every time a player plays a game they go down by 1 contract. Fitness is gained by resting and lost by playing. Generally a player with 80 or lower fitness will be much slower in the game.

You can buy fitness cards to add to individual players or to the entire squad. Trading in Ultimate Team First thing to note when you sell any player on Ultimate Team 5% tax is removed from the sale.

So if you sell a 2000 coin player you get 1900 coins. 100 coins is taken away as the 5% tax. To work out how much the 5% tax will be for a player go into calculator on computer or phone and multiply the price of the sale by 0.05. EG 2000 X 0.05 = 100. Then remove the value from the total. 2000 – 100 = 1900.
