Roland Jv 1010 Patch Editor
Jay-V (Roland JV/XP family panel) Posted January 25, 2014 by & filed under. Jay-V a HUGE panel for the Roland JV / XP family of synths which has pages for each of the four ‘tones’, an effects/common page & an ‘all tones’ page which edits the parameters of all four tones simultaneously. The panel parameters & patch names update when you change the preset via the panel so to make the best of the editor you will need bi-directional MIDI communication between your JV/XP & your computer. The panel also requires the ‘LCDdot’ font to operate, here’s a (legal) link. Pat & Zoltan.

Forsue Just copped a JV-1080, trying to use this panel I get: LUA ERR 14:90: Callback error: initializeValues At line -1: C What: C Namewhat: method Name: getMidiMessage Error message: No matching overload found, candidates: CtrlrMidiMessage.
getMidiMessage(CtrlrModulator&,custom enum CtrlrMIDIDeviceType) At line -1: C What: C Namewhat: method Name: getMidiMessage Error message: No matching overload found, candidates: CtrlrMidiMessage. getMidiMessage(CtrlrModulator&,custom enum CtrlrMIDIDeviceType).
Method disabled So, being a tinkerer I opened up the panel in a text editor and replaced the trouble part with the candidate: CtrlrMidiMessage. getMidiMessage(CtrlrModulator&,custom enum CtrlrMIDIDeviceType) And that got rid of that message, but gave me issues with ‘getData’ instead.

Basically all I want to do is store various presets from the 1000's available into the 'user bank' for quick recall on-stage. Can you briefly explain how I get all the JV-1010 presets into the editor and then save my choice of presets into the 'user bank'.? Again, many thanks in advance. First of all, you need to make your settings first ie: midi ports File Settings In the GLOBAL tab select your soundcard or whatever it is your using for midi. Now click on the JV XP tab select your midi device MAIN - input/output then which SYNTH you use - which is the JV-1010, so click on that If you have any expansion boards select them in the drop down menus Now to pull out the presets from your 1010, goto Midi and click on receive all or CTRL+SHIFT+R Or as you said you want to dump presets or patches into the 1010, select OPEN BANK (yellow folder) and select the BANK.syx file you want to dump into the 1010. A whole bank of patches will appear all numbered with patch names, go back to Midi at the top and now SEND will appear, click on that to send the.syx patch bank to the 1010. Shoot a thon fundraiser form. Make sure you have Midi cables running both ways (IN & OUT) That should work Regular Posts: 158 Joined: Wed Jun 25, 2003 11:00 pm Location: UK.
